The Jervis Bay Marine Discovery and Research Centre Inc. has been developed to promote the natural beauty of Jervis Bay and to engage with the community to preserve the natural world. Through immersive education experiences, cutting-edge scientific research and conservation outreach programs, we aim to develop a sense of stewardship among locals and domestic and international visitors to the Shoalhaven region.

Mission
Establish a national, not-for-profit centre for the conservation and sustainable use of the natural environment of Jervis Bay.
Objectives
- Increase public awareness of the quality and natural values of the Jervis Bay marine and coastal environment;
- Provide marine education and research opportunities, for all people of all ages, with a focus on ecological sustainability;
- Work inclusively with the Jervis Bay community, business and government groups to enhance sustainable regional growth, employment & tourism opportunities; and
- Support the Jervis Bay Marine Park and Booderee National Park marine and coastal areas and work constructively with the responsible government agencies and other relevant national, state and local bodies to promote custodianship of Jervis Bay’s natural environment.
